Module for decision-making of the computer system for incident management

Abstract

Decision-making in incident management is of vital importance in the execution of the functions of managers in organizations. It provides the top management of companies with statistical, accurate and timely information that allows analyzing, discussing and interpreting the results of incidents and comments issued by the population. The objective of the work is to develop a module for decision-making on incidents in the entities of the Ministry of Internal Trade in the province of Ciego de Ávila. The historical-logical, analysis-synthesis, inductive-deductive, modeling, and research techniques were used as methods of the survey of the directors of the Ministry of Internal Trade to know the degree of satisfaction of decision-making in the computer system for incident management. The interview with the authorities to determine the criteria for decision-making in the computer system for incident management. As part of the study, a better management of the information generated on the incidents was achieved. In addition, the computer system helped managers to facilitate the decision-making process of incidents in government entities. With the application of the developed system, it contributes to improving the control of incidents for decision-making in the entities of the Ministry of Internal Trade. In addition, it favors the search and treatment of information, as well as visibility for managers.
