Biocomercial: computer system for information management of biotechnological products

Abstract

Currently, companies rely increasingly on Information Technology, establishing channels to communicate improvements to their products and / or services. So the adoption of an information system that automates business processes, is becoming an important requirement, quickly adapting to changes and progress. The Subdirection of Escalation and Technological Transfer of the Bioplant Center, is responsible for the commercialization of fruit, forest, ornamental and agricultural interest species, which at present have presented little publicity of their products, economic losses due to errors of manual calculations and high investment of time in their activities. To solve the problem, this research focuses on the creation of a Computer System for Information Management of biotechnological products of the Commercial Management Group of the Bioplant Center of the University of Ciego de Ávila. For the elaboration of this system the development frameworks Laravel v5.7 and Bootstrap 4 are used, with the JavaScript, JQuery, PHP 7, HTML5 and CSS3 languages, visualizing the application on the Xampp web server. The data is consulted through the MySQL Database Management System and as an eXtreme Programming (XP) software development methodology. The proposed Computing System is a positive impact on the commercialization strategy of biotechnological products of the Commercial Management Group of the Bioplant Center of the University of Ciego de Ávila, allowing to develop the processes in a simple, safe and fast way.
