Computer system for information management for the Registries of Associations in Cuba

Abstract

  Introduction: the Ministry of Justice in Cuba designed a strategy for the computerization of its activities and work areas from registry and notarial services to internal management, prioritizing the functions of the Civil Registry and the Property Registry. The strategy until 2030 does not contemplate the functionalities related to the Registry of Associations, which is currently carried out manually and stored in file cabinets for an indefinite period of time, which brings with it difficulties in searching, obtaining, organizing, and updating the information, as well as physical deterioration of the record books. Objective: to develop a computer system for the management of information from Association Registries. Method: in the implementation of the system, PostgreSQL, the Django framework and the Python programming language were used as the database manager; all guided by the Scrum agile development methodology. Results: the system makes it possible to carry out: registrations, requests and queries to the Association Registries. Conclusion: The information management system for the Association Registries was corroborated using specialist criteria that endorse it as a relevant, valid, and generalizable system.
