Introduction: Vase life is a key determinant of ornamental rose quality. Several studies have reported the presence of resveratrol in species such as Vitis vinifera, where it acts as a natural defense compound against stress factors. Likewise, its presence has been identified in derived products such as wines, where it is associated with antioxidant and bioactive properties. Objective: To evaluate the effect of resveratrol at different stages and doses on the postharvest behavior of Spray roses var. Ilse. Method: A randomized complete block design with a 3×3 factorial scheme plus a control was used. Results: Significant differences (p ≤ 0.05) were observed, with 2.0 cc/L showing the best performance. Conclusion: Resveratrol improved postharvest quality and vase life.
