Abstract

Introduction: The practice of athletics today is characterized by the increase in results. One of the requirements that an athlete must meet to successfully execute the hurdle race is to have good flexibility. However, the technical performance of athletes is affected because they do not have the flexibility in the hip joint that the event demands. The authors of this article propose as an Objective: to develop exercises to increase the physical capacity flexibility in the hip joint in athletics athletes in the hurdle race category 11-12 years of age from the Multiple Sports Academy in Morón. This was possible by the application of different research Methods, including theoretical, empirical and mathematical methods, which enrich the theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject addressed. Results: a series of exercises are developed to increase the physical capacity flexibility in the hip joint in athletics athletes in the hurdle race category 11-12 years of age from the Multiple Sports Academy in Morón. Exercises are implemented to increase physical capacity and flexibility in the hip joint in track and field athletes in the hurdle race and their effectiveness is assessed through their implementation. Conclusion: With the implementation of the exercises, it is concluded that it was possible to increase the physical capacity flexibility in the hip joint in athletes athletics.
