Una aproximación a la gestión del enfrentamiento al cyberbullying en el contexto universitario

Introducción: actualmente, el cyberbullying es considerado uno de los temas más preocupantes que tiene lugar en los diversos contextos educativos. Objetivo: develar tendencias en la gestión del enfrentamiento al cyberbullying en el contexto universitario. Método: enfoque cualitativo con diseño de teoría fundamentada en su variante emergente, el muestreo teórico guió la selección de los participantes (n=20) y se empleó el criterio de representatividad para muestras cualitativas. Se definió como unidad de análisis el enfrentamiento al cyberbullying en el contexto universitario y se aplicó la entrevista semi-estructurada a directivos, especialistas del departamento de bienestar y estudiantes líderes en los procesos de gestión universitaria, a partir de temas identificados a priori en el análisis de la literatura científica publicada. El procesamiento de la información se realizó mediante el análisis de contenido. Resultados: el estudio develó tres códigos fundamentales: impacto psicológico y emocional, rendimiento y participación escolar, y relaciones sociales y aislamiento. El cyberbullying se abordó como un fenómeno perjudicial que puede causar un daño significativo en los estudiantes universitarios, tanto en la esfera personal como académica. Conclusión: la gestión universitaria debe volcar sus estrategias en la prevención de la problemática, para garantizar la calidad de vida de los estudiantes y futuros profesionales.
