LA GESTIÓN DEL CONOCIMIENTO Y LA INNOVACIÓN EN FUNCIÓN DEL PROGRAMA DE SOBERANÍA ALIMENTARIA.

Abstract

The Morón University Center, as part of its social mandate, develops knowledge management, science, innovation and technology transfer, with full integration to the economic, political and social environment of the territory, responding to the Development Strategy Local, with emphasis on the Food Sovereignty and Nutrition Education Program, which aims to produce food in a sustainable way through food self-sufficiency programs. In order to implement the Food Sovereignty and Nutrition Education Program in Morón, a Municipal Coordinating Group and a group of experts made up of professors and researchers from the Máximo Gómez Báez University of Ciego de Ávila, the Municipal University Center, the Centro de Capacity building of CITMA and the Center for Research in Bio-food (CIBA) and leading producers. An action plan was developed that impact the different crops and productions, closing cycles from production, with the aim of designing productive strategies to meet the demand of the 30 lb per capita monthly of viands, vegetables, grains and fruit trees and the 5 kg per capita of animal protein, through training to the productive bases and the connection between knowledge, innovation and development linked to government management to advance in the achievement of Food Sovereignty and Nutritional Education in the municipality, in which the University Center, the University and research centers play an essential role as dynamic actors of development.
